I've been given the opportunity to have a share of a friends allotment this year - very exciting. I've only been able to grow a few things outside my flat up till now so this is going to be a steep learning curve. Have spent the last few weeks reading veg books (River Cottage one very good) and digging over the patch. Can't wait to actually start planting!...
